Child & Family Services
Come on out to the 2nd annual benefit concert for TLC Child and Family Services THP (Transition Age Youth Housing Programs) on March 28th at 6pm. TLC’s THP serves youth 16-25 who are current or former foster youth, as well as young adults experiencing homelessness. The housing programs provide the opportunity to learn life skills and receive comprehensive support services while living independently. There will be 7 performances, a raffle, pizza by Santa Rosa’s own Small Pie Pizza Co., and lots of fun to be had. This year, we specifically put together a lineup of bands who have LGBTQ and/or femme representation. As a Social Worker for THP, I see the need for community support and extended funding opportunities for our program. Last year for my 40th birthday, I decided I wanted to put on an event to raise money for the youth I support in the community and wanted to have a good time while doing it. It was such a fun time that I decided to do it again!
Big thanks to the bands who are donating their time and art, and for The Arlene Francis Center who is so willing to work towards bettering the community and offering the space for awesome supportive events like this one!
