UPDATE: Red Thread Studio has moved! For more information, email Julie Christenson: jmil59 at yahoo dot com
Coming Soon! New Red Thread website at http://www.redthreadstudio.org
Red Thread Studio will be a non-profit adult literacy & creative writing center devoted to strengthening enjoyment of and skill with the written word. RTS will offer grant-funded, free tutoring in the language arts, GED Preparation and homework assistance to underserved adults in the community by pairing writers who have a gift to share with those who have a gift to develop. It will be a venue for writing-related workshops on topics ranging from college success, and academic reading and writing, to poetry, journal and fiction writing. In addition it will sponsor readings by amateur and professional writers across all genres. RTS will further galvanize community participation by drawing on Sonoma County’s vast pool of writers, professionals from all disciplines and college students as tutor/mentor volunteers.

Cultivating Daily Writing Practice ~ with Julie Christenson
Ongoing Saturdays, 2010 12 – 2. Come once or come regularly.
Learn to think freely and vibrantly on the page. This is writing as process rather than to create a finished product. Whatever your goals and aspirations, a daily writing practice “ups” your ability to live with consciousness, clarity and creativity.
Writing as Daily Practice Workshop, ongoing Saturdays, begins in October!
**All workshops held at Red Thread Studio, 99 West Sixth Street, Santa Rosa, unless otherwise stated, and are appropriate for writers and non-writers alike. Bring your own writing materials.
