The Arlene Francis Foundation is establishing the Arlene Francis Center for Spirit, Art and Politics, which in a single location – the foundation’s building located in Santa Rosa – will attempt to promote and demonstrate the theory and practice of Spiritual Activism based on the premise that a better world can only be realized through building lasting social and environmental change movements rooted in healing the fear and alienation of ‘the other’ and of nature through mutual recognition of our common humanity and developing a sense of awe and wonder of the universe. We can then ‘spiritualize’ in this way existing social policies while creating a thriving parallel universe movement of just, sacred and sustainable alternatives to inspire, transform and attract people to this better world. The Center will host the scholarly and educational activities of the Institute for Spiritual Activism; cultural, environmental and political events in the Arlene Francis Theater spaces; sustainable community and environmental organizations and businesses; a Recognition Café; and a bilingual community radio station; among other projects. The goal, to reference Martin Luther King, is to contribute to the creation of a ‘Beloved Community’ for all.

This event is a benefit for the Arlene Francis Center for Spirit, Art and Politics. Suggested donations range from $5.00 – $5000.00! Space is limited. To reserve your seat in advance by making a donation, click here to donate via PayPal. You will be able to indicate that this is for a place in the AFCSAP Event.
